1. Assassinatos em massa, como os de Realengo, são mais raros em localidades com livre acesso às armas. (LOTT, J.R. & LANDES W.M., 1995);

2. Em 80% dos casos de legítima defesa, a vítima utiliza sua arma de porte e não aquela que tem em casa. (KLECK & GERTZ, 1995);

3. 77% dos crimes violentos ocorrem fora de casa. O porte de armas é fundamental para a materialização do direito de legítima defesa. (KLECK & GERTZ, 1995);
